It's Saturday morning. I remember the days of my youth when I'd be sitting in front of the talking box with a bowl of cereal, while intensely watching my can't miss cartoons. As the morning quickly passes by and drifts into afternoon, the not so wisely picked dancers on Soul Train would further my entertainment. Then, I'd probably head outside to jump rope or play tag or rough house with the boys. I was always a balanced female, lol.
This Saturday morning, I am just relaxing. It's too early for the talking box-although it does nothing for me anymore. I find myself watching more things online than on my tele (love how the British say {"tele")- TELETUBBIES! Wow, I just got that...! Major segue way. I digress.
Anyway, on this particular Sat. I have to go through two housewarming registries. Yes. I am at that age where people are living on their own now and no one can tell them how long to sit in front of the talking box for sure. I have been invited to attend to housewarmings in one day and I am looking forward to helping my friends settle into their new apartments. I get to assist with my hostess skills! It's a milestone. Big deal! Drinks, games and food. Oh, and presents!! Most of which wont surprise us since there is a registry... Joy! I will probably only have one glass of wine. I am so not into drinking lately. Now, I must rush off to Target in a few hours and get their gifts!
