Up until recently, my life was a party. I traveled, partied hard, organized events, ran my own business and I dated off and on, but subconsciously I kept dating seriously on hold. A true city girl to the core, my neighbors were used to seeing me bring back yellow cabs to Brooklyn beyond the wee hours of the morning. There's no walk of shame if you've laughed the night away, right? I tend to smile often and laugh hard. It may brighten up someone's day, and it's contagious(Physics)! I'm the type of person who'd smile at a frustrated cashier and tell them that their day is almost over. Sometimes, I'll be on my way home and I'd say a prayer for random people that I see on their way home as well, especially young black men and motercyclist. I am a bit of a travel Goddess, and I'm in love with gorgeous beach front villas (it's my gift to organize a cheap trip in gorgeous accommodations). My dear friends are mostly life -long friendships(I'm blessed). They're like family and they are the source of my entertainment. Family is important to me. I think down the line I'd be like the "Big Mama" of the family, cooking for everyone and hosting Christmas or what have you. Lol, my grand babies will love me. I'm a bit quirky in a good way and I tend to wear my heart on my sleeves.
On my downtime, I like to bring my blanket to either Brooklyn Bridge or Central Park and just reading/relaxing under the sun/stars. I am slowly kicking my Scrabulous.com habit.. though I don't see why I should. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart. I think saxophonists, Neo-Soul and Jazz are all sexy (See Jill Scott - "Is it the Way" / John Coltrane - "In a Sentimental Mood"). Candles don't just smell good..(be creative).I like the feeling of shy smiles and "Butterflies" (See Floetry) and the thought of being "Speechless" (See Beyonce). I've decided to return to school this year, and I've eased back from the social scene (I live part-time in the library, and I love it). I'm majoring in journalism with a specialization in business comm. and a minor in finance (I love to write, and I have an entrepreneurial spirit). My main focus is obtaining my degree (with honors), but like any normal person: I need a little balance.
My ideal guy: Intelligent,outgoing,sense of humor, patient, good personality and open minded.
Ideally, I'd like to connect with someone on that deeper level, but I am in no rush for a relationship. Let's let things lead where they may... We can be equally exciting and crazy (not mentally) together. You have your own life going on; A "Guys night" for my "Girls night". I'm down for anything legal...mostly.. lol. Hopefully, you're open to cultured and random things: like seeing a play or opera, playing pool,museum trips (Yes,sex museum included), laughing it up with friends in the wee hours at a coffee shop or diner after a night of dancing (good times),movies and dinner at home, doing something adventurous and competitive , or just running away somewhere for the weekend. You know... random things.
